THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TRACE Restaurant Review:

The interior of TRACE immediately gives the impression of a space comfortable in its sophistication. Dark woods and neutral walls shun flamboyance, which allows the imaginative elements --- like a porcupine-Deco chandelier --- to sparkle that much more. And that’s the approach the kitchen brings to the menu. An emphasis is placed on sourcing local produce, artisanal cheeses, meat and seafood. The focus on fresh ingredients makes for an ever-changing menu, though Niman Ranch lamb is nearly always a top feature, perhaps presented with an eggplant curry and minty yogurt. Grouper and drum courtesy of the Texas Gulf are good candidates for a side of roasted street corn with aïoli and cotija cheese. With its location between the posh W Austin and the Moody Theater (home to Austin City Limits), the outdoor seating area is a favorite for pre-show small, shared plates and people-watching.
