Mister01 Restaurant Review:

Mister01 is nestled in a commercial building off tourist-ridden Lincoln Road. Pass through a back alley and into the sliver of a restaurant that seats 20 at most and typically has a line out the door (reservations are highly suggested). There's always delivery, though the best way to savor owner and pizza extraordinaire Renato Viola's creations is fresh from the oven. You can start with antipasti, mozzarella or a salad, or you can just skip right to the pizzas, which include Traditional, Special and Extraordinary. Traditional covers the basics (margherita, pepperoni, Hawaiian, mushrooms) while Special pizzas include the Italian staple San Daniele (topped with prosciutto di Parma). It's the Extraordinary pies, however, that make Mister01 a standout, specifically the Marco and the Claudio "cold" pizzas that have baked-in mozzarella but are then crowned with fresh burrata stracciatella in addition to their other toppings. And let's not forget about the star-shaped pie with ricotta stuffed into its corners and topped with spicy salami, mozzarella and (just like most of the pies) San Marzano sauce. If you prefer your pizza sweet, choose the Nutella pie.
