Williams & Graham Restaurant Review:

Arrive early (or, better yet, make a reservation) if you want to avoid a long wait to access this Prohibition-era Denver speakeasy, with an entrance tucked behind a faux bookcase. Dark woods, dim lighting, a tin ceiling and leather booths bring home the vintage vibe, but while the setting is nostalgic, the craft cocktails and extensive spirits collection are even more of a draw. Innovative ingredients are featured in concoctions such as the Chai Express, made with Woody Creek vodka, Avuá Amburana cachaça, chai rooibos tamarind syrup, lemon juice, Angostura bitters and egg white. The menu of American fare offers hors d'oeuvres (think deviled eggs and ham and pretzel bites); elevated small plates featuring roasted bone marrow with bacon jam and pork belly paired with chickpea cakes; "grande" plates, including a signature burger, or the bacon-wrapped pork chop; and house-made desserts, most notably the apple fritters and a brownie paired with salted caramel ice cream. Reservations are accepted Sunday through Wednesday evenings only, and those under 21 are not allowed inside.
