THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Wreckless Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: This chill venue has all of the skeletal earmarks of a downtown Fullerton joint. The main entrance is in the opposite end of its streetside façade, and a skinny passageway leads to a cozy dining space framed by brick walls and earth tones. The restaurant's upscale yet approachable contemporary dishes display a knack for marrying intense flavor profiles with mature sophistication. Note: Cody Storts no longer serves as executive chef.

Likes: Classic downtown Fullerton aesthetic.
Dislikes: Some may find the space too narrow.

Food & Drinks: Begin your meal with a starter like the escargot served on pecorino garlic brioche toast or the bone marrow with wild mushrooms, apples and nectarines. Entrées such as short rib goulash; wild red shrimp and crab ravioli; and 120-day-aged rib-eye with chamomile-poached potatoes are generously portioned and have deep compositional purpose. Desserts like the dark chocolate soufflé and seasonal berry cobbler are topnotch finishers. The small wine list is eclectic and features a few California heavyweights, and drinks with unorthodox flavor components anchor the cocktail program. On weekends, guests can dig into brunch items like the soft shell crab Benedict with smoked broccolini and the shrimp & grits.
