Jalisco Tex Mex Restaurant, also in Gaithersburg, this location is as bright and sparkling as a fresh coat of paint, but lacking the time-worn character of the first outpost. The menu is all about moderately good Tex-Mex fare doled out in modest portions. You can begin with nachos or guacamole, but with an eye on finding something different as a starter, you might try a pupusa or a tamal, an indication that the menu has its roots in the Salvadoran kitchen. Nevertheless, the main offerings include both Salvadoran and the Tex-Mex food most of us know so well. Why not head to the Tex-Mex platters and get more bang for your buck?
