Azúcar Restaurant and Bar Restaurant Review

About the restaurant & décor: Located at the luxe La Serena Villas, Azúcar Restaurant and Bar’s poolside setting is simply where a Palm Springs sojourn is meant to be spent. Equipale chairs, Frieda Kahlo portraits, blue and white mosaic flooring, beamed ceilings and stark white walls feel as if they’ve been ripped from the pages of Architectural Digest.

Likes: Poolside setting and rooftop access.
Dislikes: Breakfast available only on weekends.

Food & Drinks: Equally palatable is a tapas-style menu of Mediterranean plates that are meant to be passed among friends. The watermelon salad is ideal for warm desert days with its feta cheese, roasted pepitas and pesto crafted from mint with ceviche. There’s also a falafel salad as well as bruschetta, but this one is topped with ahi. Cocktails are shaken, stirred and infused with fresh mint, lavender and cucumber. Dessert includes a fudge brownie made with local Brandini Toffee and served with salted caramel gelato. Enjoy a post-meal escape to the rooftop for added lounging and mesmerizing sunsets.
