: Bac reinvigorated the corner of West 14th and Auburn in Tremont by dishing up authentic pan-Asian and fusion cuisine. Depending on your appetite, choose between a light bite from among soups and salads, a full meal from starters and small plates, or a mix of meat and seafood entrées, each served with noodles or rice. Start with the chili garlic wings, which are spicy and juicy in equal measure. Then go for either the banh mi or the mango yellow curry, which is surprisingly spicy, but with a rich depth of flavor. Bac offers classic interpretations of lo mein and stir-fry alongside more unique dishes, like a spicy shrimp quesadilla made with lemon grass shrimp and chili cream cheese, topped with a scallion and mango salsa. Finish with the hot, spiced brownie. Seasonal beers, hand-selected wines and signature cocktails are available; the Tokyo-Politan blends vodka, orange liqueur, cranberry granita, ginger and lime zest. The setting is ultra-contemporary with teak-framed mirrors, dark wood bars, less-than-cozy chairs and neo-Asian art. |
