It's no H & H, but Bagel Oasis has long been regarded as supplying the nearest thing to a real New York bagel that you are likely to find in the Emerald City. These bright, cheerful bagelrys produce authentically firm and chewy specimens all day long, and are popular with families. Bagels can be had plain, with a schmear of cream cheese or as a sandwich. We like the Fremont Rocket (chicken breast, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayonnaise) and the Emerald City Gem (turkey, havarti, avocado, red onion and ginger-cilantro mayonnaise.) The bialys are good, too, but the soups and salads frequently leave something to be desired.
