Among the dishes diners can count on at little Italian restaurants are spaghetti and meatballs, pizza with pepperoni and garlic bread. They’re all offered at Basilicos Ristorante, but in addition, try the pollo Ruscello, prosciutto-wrapped breast of chicken stuffed with spinach and golden raisins, arriving atop saffron risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and peas. Enjoy vitello Basilicos, medallions of veal sautéed with jumbo lump crab meat and artichoke hearts served in a creamy basil sauce tossed with the house-made spinach garganelli. Desserts are not quite so creative, but there’s always tiramisu.
