THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED BBQ King Restaurant Review:

It's no struggle to select barbecue meals here, especially since most offerings are displayed on a steam table behind the counter. Nevertheless, the two women who manage the place are busy grilling ribs and chopping beef and pork to keep up with the patrons' orders as they straggle in. Noteworthy because this is one of the few places in the DC area that serves beef ribs, albeit rather crusty and overgrilled, BBQ King's sides are the old-fashioned kind, and more than make up for any faultiness of the meat. You'll go a long distance before finding such homey comfort foods: ribs, mashed potatoes, and stewed greens. Desserts are homespun as well, but we wish management would add Southern banana pudding to the roster. We would come here often if it were only a bit closer to home. After all, as the menu declares, everything is made fresh and from scratch.
