![]() : As the name implies, this Newport Beach restaurant is the brainchild of Italian born-and-raised owner/chef Sandro Nardone, who built a cult following in Orange County by opening the popular Dana Point venue Angelina's Pizzeria. Together with chef de cuisine Frank DeLoach, Nardone aims to create traditional Italian dishes and modern elevated fare inspired by some of Italy's most prestigious restaurants. Guests can expect to see dishes such as veal tongue with shallot, house-cured pig's head porchetta, handmade espresso cavatelli pasta with sea urchin, and pork chop with braised bitter greens and pepperoncino. Italian labels dominate the wine list, and feature selections from lesser-known wineries, including some exclusive bottles. Guests can also indulge in one of several craft cocktails. |
