THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bellwether Restaurant Review:

If you’re a twenty-something hipster you might enjoy the retro vibe of this place. You may even overlook the high decibel level of the front room, where people dine alongside loud bar-goers. If you do, or if you're lucky enough to be seated in the relatively quieter and airy back space (before the DJ revs up), you could find the very limited menu of New American small plates interesting, albeit often over-salted. Sip a cocktail with a cool name like the “Jack Kennedy” or the “Bad Humored Old Fashioned” as you slurp East and West coast oysters (with or without an overly peppery mignonette sauce). While the entire menu changes seasonally with frequent additions, seafood mains have included a whole roast porgy and Montauk bluefish, with cheeseburgers and chicken appealing to carnivores. Sides reflect what’s current in the market, offering up American favorites like kale and collard greens. Desserts follow the same focus; try the apple crostata in fall.
