Some of the Bay Area's most authentic pasta dishes can be found at this counter-service location for chef Michele Belotti, owner of Belotti Ristorante on College Avenue in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood. The Piedmont Avenue bottega ("little shop") offers fresh, house-made pasta for dine in or take out, as well as the chef's famed sauces also available to go. While pasta made with imported Italian flour is formed, rolled and cut in view of diners at the handful of counter seats, guests can enjoy dishes such as silken pappardelle with beef reduction and hen-of-the-woods mushrooms or airy gnocchi in a sultry Bolognese. Try any of Belotti's stuffed pastas. Delivery is an option.
