Smack dab in the corazon of one of the hippest parts of Denver, Benny’s draws heavy crowds hungry for a dose of Americanized Mexican fare. And while the food here doesn't hold a candle to the authentic taquerias that dot the city’s landscape, it's markedly improved since its inception nearly three decades ago. Regulars wolf down hangover-curing breakfast burritos, fajitas, carnitas and tacos al carbon sided with pico and guacamole. The festive bar, always packed with a jovial crowd, serves 15 different government-issue margaritas --- frozen or on the rocks --- and a slew of Mexican beers. Note, however, that alcoholic beverages are limited to four per person.
