THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bhojanic Restaurant Review:
Saag paneer and spiced okra with caramelized onions, which may be tamed by a tangy raita, are just a couple of the Indian "tapas” offered at Bhojanic. Ali gobi combines potatoes and cauliflower with ginger and onions --- an appealing, healthful dish. We also like the onion and spiced graham flour pakora with mint and tamarind chutney for a light snack. Tender, cooked-on-the-bone meat dishes include garlic-and-onion-scented goat in a yogurt-based sauce as well as chicken tikka masala. For dessert, get the ras malai, cheese dumplings in a light saffron-scented cream sauce. The short wine list offers some Rieslings that pair well with the food, but no rosés, and the Gewürztraminer seems to be gone from the list. A separate special list makes food-and-wine pairing suggestions. The beer line-up includes a few high-gravity choices. Note: Bhojanic closed at 9 p.m. on Sundays.
