Biscuits & Barbeque Restaurant Review:
A 1940s railway car is home to this Southern restaurant on the island, where the namesake biscuits and barbecue, and also fried chicken, light and airy hush puppies and po' boys, are cooked up by Louisiana chef Bobby Bouyer. This is a small place with no bar, reservations are not taken and credit cards are not accepted, but it's a local favorite spot, particularly known for its tender, flavorful smoked barbecue ribs and pulled pork. Desserts are homemade and include peach cobbler, Key lime pie and Mississippi mud cake. The true Southern feel translates to the atmosphere, too, which is warm and welcoming. Biscuits & Barbeque is BYOB.
