THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Blackwood American Grill Restaurant Review:

Hidden in a Corona office park, Blackwood offers American cuisine prepared with market-fresh ingredients and innovative---but rarely frivolous---interpretations of traditional dishes. The room is clubby, but updated with sleek, modern chandeliers and a striking glass-sheathed wine cellar. A massive rectangular bar is surrounded by cozy tables for couples sharing cocktails and appetizers. Among those starters are flatbread layered with crème fraîche, Gruyère, bacon and onions, spicy flash-fried rock shrimp and calamari, and barbecued beef wrapped in delicate pastry and plated with chipotle cream and mango sauce. For entrées, you’ll find more-than-respectable USDA Prime steaks, rack of lamb with lavender demi-glace, and Chilean sea bass glazed with saké and miso. Representing more than just good value is a burger topped with Munster, Gruyère, bacon, caramelized onions and arugula, and the most popular finales are chocolate or Grand Marnier soufflés. The wine list features major producers and boutique wineries from California, as well as some fine bottles from throughout Europe and the New World---many quite reasonably priced.
