THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Blue Agave Restaurant Review:

Blue Agave is still popular after 20 years in business, and much of that is due to a comfortable vibe, outdoor cigar lounge and plenty of premium tequila --- more than 40 by the glass. The two-story space is well suited to romantic dinners. Cuddle up in a cozy booth or on the overstuffed couch in front of the fireplace upstairs. All meats are natural and free-range, the seafood is wild and fresh, and they use organic local ingredients as often as possible. Chef Serafin Ruiz, who started with the restaurant in 1995, offers a diverse menu from Ligurian fish stew and wild salmon in a lemon-caper butter with potato purée, green beans and carrots to the Blue Agave burger with a choice of beef or turkey, lamb or buffalo. The most popular dish is the "cowboy" plate comprised of natural turkey sausage poached in Sierra Nevada Ale, mashed yams, poblano chile rice, black beans and salad (the "cowgirl" plate trades the sausage for eggs). Desserts range from Mexican wedding cake to the best offering, the whiskey bread pudding. A solid wine list with everything from known varietals to Vermentino, and a huge cocktail lineup will keep you on your toes.
