Blue Ocean Sushi Restaurant Review:
Blue Ocean’s all-you-can-eat sushi tiers start at $17 for lunch and $23 for dinner --- quite a steal considering that each tier includes a generous number of options for appetizers, nigiri and rolls. The treat of ordering omakase, where the chef customizes your dishes, is easy on the wallet, too. It’s also possible to get sushi by the roll or in fixed-price combinations; consider as well the Japanese-style entrées (grilled mackerel, sukiyaki). There are plenty of variations on the ubiquitous California roll for beginners, and those who are true nigiri rookies can sample for cheap on Mondays when each piece is only $1. On the other end of the bravado spectrum is the four-alarm spicy La Flama, with albacore, yellowtail, crab and a lime-habanero sauce. Put out the embers with a Japanese beer or ball of mochi ice cream. The cordial staff is not averse to reminding customers of the all-you-can-eat rules. But really, with deals this good, why push your luck?
