Blue Spoon Restaurant Review:

Blue Spoon is a neighborhood hangout for those living on Munjoy Hill and in Portland. It’s small, just nine tables inside and four outside when the weather permits, but it’s always lively. Thus, the bar scene often hosts folks trying small plates and sharing tapas. Start with the smoked trout Reuben with house sauerkraut and Maine Swiss cheese. Grilled flank steak salad with baby arugula and pine nuts can be either a salad or dinner. The free-range Wee Bit Farm burger is a favorite; you’ll eat every bite of the warm potato salad that comes with it. For dessert, try the Cuban-influenced flan with the exotic touch of coconut milk. Saturday brunch is a treat, too; get the buttermilk cream biscuits with honey butter. Wine time is from 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and always features a special price on the house wine, which changes seasonally.
