This hip spot is decked out with psychedelic drawings of women on the walls, a Formica counter, wooden tables and a ceiling fan. Formerly at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, chef Terumitsu Saïto knows how to harmoniously combine many ingredients and textures in the elaborate dishes. The ever-changing menu includes original selections such as the finely seasoned brick sheet filled with lamb stuffing, dried grapes and ras el hanout and served with carrot purée and sour orange cream, as well as the tasty cuttlefish risotto with marinated squid, sautéed spinach and tapioca-flavored chips. For dessert, treat yourself to the banoffee, a kind of genoise with caramelized banana bites, chestnut slivers and toffee ice cream. The courteous waitress takes the time to describe every item as they are served. Interesting selection of wines and cocktails.
