Often crowded at lunch with local office workers, Bo Dean’s deserves its fan club: The ribs are terrific, with a crisp-charred exterior that seals the meat juices to the bones. There’s plenty else to whet the appetite, from the feisty black bean and sausage soup to the steamed shrimp and fried fillet of fish. But we always return for the ribs, to enjoy the full, smoky flavor. Sauces come in varying degrees of heat, so pick your poison. The décor might be called good ol’ boy-style. It stars a mounted deer’s head.
