Boca Tavern Restaurant Review:

People throng to this large, strikingly designed restaurant because all the meat and seafood is grilled over traditional hardwood. There’s an outdoor dining patio that is the place to sit if you’re eating lunch or dinner in the summertime. For starters, try the empanadas, golden pastry pockets stuffed with cheese and vegetables. Move on to baby-back ribs or oysters Rockefeller, then have a classic wedge salad or Caesar. The bone-in rib-eye for two is legendary, with a dark, sizzling crust that seals in the juices, or go for the cioppino or fish ‘n’ chips. Lamb chops, a burger or hanger steak and slow-roasted prime rib on weekends will please the carnivores while meatless options are minimal. For dessert, try the artisan-quality ice cream and brownie sundae for two, prepared tableside. The bar shakes up some classic as well as wacky cocktails, including a house martini made with homemade pickling brine and the Marin Sunset with aged tequila, a bevy of fresh fruit juices and a floater of Grand Marnier. The happy hour is well known for discounts on wine and beer accompanied by a generous list of reasonably priced bites.
