THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bokado Restaurant Review:

This inviting, contemporary Spaniard features a long blond wood tapas bar with colorful under-lighting, along with a small collection of linen-draped tables. The menu is displayed on a blackboard behind the bar and, on one side, fresh breads, cheeses and charcuterie are available for take-out, enhanced by the presence of a lipstick red Berkel slicer. A generous selection of tapas is the best way to dine here, although you can find a good filet mignon, too. Consider a smartly dressed beet salad with a pungent triple crème cheese, a small plate of paella, butifarra (a hard Catalan sausage) served in a tomato-garbanzo broth, or “jamón bikini” (miniature pressed sandwich of ham and truffled cheese). The chicken croquetas were among the less impressive dishes, but a respectable orange flan and crispy phyllo pastry layered with chocolate cream provide happy endings. The restaurant’s name is a play on “bocado,” which means “small bites,” and Bokado succeeds in making them fun, assisted by a fairly priced list of wines from Spain, Italy, France and California.
