Bon Temps Creole Café offers some of the most authentic Cajun/Creole fare you’ll find this far west of the Gulf, right down to the alligator etouffée. Though you might spot a couple of missteps --- there's tomato on the muffaletta, for example --- you won’t be disappointed by the restaurant and you certainly won’t leave hungry after polishing off a breakfast of pain perdu or eggs Sardou or an andouille sausage po’ boy for lunch. For dinner, we recommend sharing appetizers of crawfish popcorn or boiled peanuts before tucking into jambalaya, spicy seafood gumbo or fried catfish with hush puppies. For dessert, it’s a tough choice between pecan pie and sweet potato pie. Beer and wine are available. This location near Railroad Square has an outdoor patio.
