About the restaurant & décor: Bonchon sates both upscale casual and takeout diners. Blond wood and globe lights lend a modern, almost cold vibe, a juxtaposition to the concept of inviting Korean comfort food. Foot traffic represents a cross-section of the neighborhood, everyone from couples on dates to families grabbing dinner to go.

Likes: Those wings: Spicy with a hint of sweetness.
Dislikes: Not much ambiance.

Food & Drinks: The stars of the menu are the made-to-order Korean wings --- get them salty (soy garlic), spicy or better yet, half and half. A small order includes 10 pieces, while the largest is 30. Sides complement the meaty poultry; try the kimchi for extra heat or pickled radish for tanginess. Bulgogi bibimbap, Korean spicy chicken tacos and pork buns offer reasons to explore the non-wing side of the menu. Keeping with the low-key vibe, the eatery serves beer and traditional soju, a clear, slightly sweet alcohol.
