![]() : Boscos Squared was brewing small-batch craft beer long before it was cool in Memphis. (The company opened Tennessee's first brewpub.) The beers are paired with meals by expert staff, and Boscos even uses its own beer in the signature wood-fired pizza crust. Microbrew enthusiasts will like the nutty Midtown Brown, the hoppy Bombay IPA, and various seasonal brews. Its proximity to both a movie theater and a live theater makes Boscos Squared perfect for pre-show appetizers (try the fried artichoke hearts). In addition to the pizza, there are gourmet sandwiches, pastas, salmon and steaks. Ask about the chef's daily special for dessert or go with the chocolate mocha brownie with stout gelato. The short wine list features mostly labels from California, but the beer is the star of the show. Stop in on Sunday for brunch and live jazz by local diva Joyce Cobb. The ambience is casual, but the polished wood décor lends the place a classy vibe. |
