THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Brew Moon & Microbrewery Restaurant Review:

One of the first area brewpubs to throw their kitchen into high-gear, Brew Moon is reliable and spiffy. The common denominators here are accessible and mildly inventive food, clean-tasting and sometimes superb ales, and a crowd that is young and boisterous. At both locations the room looks as if Crate & Barrel got a hipster makeover, but don’t let that fool you: Everything else about Brew Moon is as spot-on as a high-concept chain could be. We like to play the percentages by ordering lots of appetizers. Chicken tostadas, ribs marinated in soy and molasses, and beer crackers with garlic and Gorgonzola are all worth a look or three. Peppered sirloin with Roquefort butter is an inspiring entrée: You won’t believe you’re in a brewpub. But dishes like coriander-crusted catfish suffer from a bit of over-zealousness and taste flat-out funny.
