![]() : Executive chef and TV personality Brian Malarkey has a knack for creating compelling spaces in which to enjoy his cuisine, and Green Acre is one example. Located on Campus Pointe, it’s the spot for breakfast and lunch with an outdoor dining area jazzed up by flourishing gardens, fire pits, and games like ping pong and cornhole. The interior has cozy booths, a private glass box dining room, a bar and a billiards table for more social fun. Early morning hunger pangs are sated with scrambled farm eggs and smoked salmon toast, or plump breakfast burritos that can be custom designed. Fresh pressed juices, healthy smoothies and fair trade coffee energize the day. For lunch, salads run the gamut from Caesar to Santa Fe with corn, black beans, red bell peppers, avocado, quinoa, tomato and cilantro-poblano vinaigrette. Handcrafted brick-oven pizzas feature combinations such as goat cheese and sunflower pesto. Burgers, curry, fish and chips and roasted chicken round out the menu. There's a grab-n-go healthy market as well. Happy hours run Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. |
