: Quiet, with mahogany-stained wood accentuated by polished brass, Bros Oyster Bar has the look and feel of an old-fashioned steakhouse, or private men’s club, from the U.S. The drinks are generous and the service attentive, and the menu, while not innovative, contains a wide variety of standard and comforting offerings. Starters include fresh oysters from the Pacific (either on the half shell or Rockefeller), a tangy Peruvian ceviche and a topnotch New England clam chowder (a rarity to find at all in Mexico City). Main courses range from a first-rate seared tuna in a Dijon mustard and pepper sauce to duck in port wine sauce, but the specialties are steaks and the best prime rib in Mexico City. |
