Bukowski Tavern in Cambridge's Inman Square offers a menu overseen by chef Brian Poe (Tip Tap Room, Estelle's, Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake). Selections have been changed up a bit with the addition of wild game, while keeping former favorites like the popular "Mug Club" alive. Expect 14 different burgers, game dogs (think alligator, venison and bison) and 36 draft beers and another 100 available by the bottle. Roll up your sleeves and dig into a plate of “White Trash Cheese Dip” --- corn tortillas served with a spicy jalapeño and green chile cheese sauce. We like sharing the Poe pork belly tater tots topped with Brussels sprouts and bacon and creamy horseradish sauce. If you appreciate the spicy flavor, keep it going with a fiery bison burger with Sriracha ketchup and jalapeño Dijon. The antelope with cranberry jus is a fall taste, while the mac ‘n’ cheese made with PBR cheese sauce is a year-round addiction. The caramel pecan tart is worth a nod. Weekend brunch includes "hungover" homemade sweet potato chips topped with prosciutto, onion strings and green kosho tabasco; and prosciutto-wrapped Fontina bites.
