This handy spot, one of the grandaddies of the burrito-and-wrap restaurants in town, was opened by a man who was passionate about burritos. The formula is very simple: Take a flour tortilla, wrap it around a meat or bean (and rice filling), drizzle it with toppings and/or cheese and chilies, wrap it, and eat. Even if you are eating on the run, the management has made an effort to add atmosphere to an otherwise bland setting: Colors are bright and splashy, and if you didn’t know better, you’d feel you had landed somewhere down by the border. The short menu includes fajitas, quesadillas, and tacos, but burritos are what this place is all about. Prices are so low that impoverished students can fill up for less than $10.
