Buttermilk Kitchen Restaurant Review:

Once confined to patrons of ADAC (Atlanta Decorative Arts Center), the food of Atlanta native Suzanne Vizethann and her business partner is now served to a broader and very lucky audience. This bright, homey refurbished cottage with hardwood floors and brightly lit spaces has a wake-up ambience, perfect for breakfast. The meal stars cage-free eggs, stone-ground grits and local bacon, sausage and ham. Nearly everything, from the smoked salmon to the butter and jam, is made in-house. Some of the dishes get inventive, such as an omelet with pimento cheese, Benton's bacon (Tennessee) and pepper jelly. The bacon bits were a bit hard and disruptive, but the pimento cheese and pepper jelly rocked the omelet. One night a month is declared fried chicken supper night, and that night only you may bring your own beer and wine for no fee. Fried chicken stars, of course, but the sides vary with the season, and so does the price. Desserts change often, but if the buttermilk pie is among them, don't fail to order this rarely seen Southern classic dessert.
