THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cactus Bar & Grille Restaurant Review:

Cactus Bar & Grille is one rollicking restaurant. It’s a more-is-more affair with a menu that serves up heaping, semi-authentic versions of food that is alternately Tex-Mex, Cajun, Southwestern and Mexican by way of your local burger joint. The bar is overloaded as a plate of nachos with singles pawing margaritas and fighting over dishes of blooming onions. Cacophony is an asset here as the floor crew wheels their way about with buffalo wings, chili con queso, seafood gumbo and black bean soup. The crowd is chatty and young and usually comes in groups. It’s all a bit much, really, but Cactus doesn’t cost much and the lack of flavor seems to be compensated for with size. What counts is that this restaurant knows its place, and has no pretense to be anything but good at what it does. Take out is available and understandably popular. Refills on sodas? But of course.
