Owner-chef Nalani Kaneakua cooks healthy, fresh food in the island-style beloved by locals, although vegetarians will find plenty to satisfy. The waffles are served with real maple syrup and tempeh bacon accompanies eggs at breakfast, while the lunch menu features sandwiches---grilled tofu, pastrami, hummus and falafel among them---hearty salads made with organic island greens and fresh fish tacos topped with Kaneakua’s tangy salsa. Smoothies and coffee drinks round out the offerings. The casual, even barebones, dining room creates a perfect setting for the home-style food.
