THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Cafe Annie Restaurant Review:
Cafe Annie was the epicenter of Southwestern cuisine in the '80s and one of the city’s premier fine dining restaurants. But when the old building was torn down in 2009, chef Robert Del Grande opened a new restaurant down the street: RDG + Bar Annie. Now he’s returned to his roots and renamed the posh two-story spot Cafe Annie. He’s also channeled Annie’s original menu, bringing back favorites like the rabbit enchiladas; Gulf Coast crab meat tostada; fancy nachos topped with red chile beef, guacamole, black beans and crème fraîche; and the terrine of black beans dabbed with local goat cheese. And, of course, guest can opt for his coffee-rubbed filet of beef. There’s a full bar and globally sourced wine list, as well as tempting desserts.
