THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Aspen Restaurant Review:

Deep coral walls with Impressionist-flavored canvases, a draped fabric tent, and glass block-topped partitions all help create a pleasant oasis in a strip shopping center. The crowd, a mixture of ladies who lunch, business associates on the run and Ridglea neighbors who drop in for dinner, seems to know each other; greetings across tables and to the staff are friendly and frequent, which you might expect at a neighborhood restaurant that has nearly two decades of success to its credit. At lunchtime, Mexican plates such as chicken quesadillas, enchiladas and arroz con queso are popular, as are the Aspen wraps, which enclose grilled filet, herbed goat cheese and spinach in a puff pastry shell. For dinner, start with coconut shrimp; the light breading has flakes of coconut set off with pineapple-cilantro pico de gallo. A lovely twist to the standard vegetable plate is the bed of saffron couscous on which the grilled selections rest.
