THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Dacx Restaurant Review:
Chef-owner Lisa Hite presents an unpretentious spot that has filled a need in this trendy neighborhood of overpriced restaurants. During the day, it's a casual lunch café; at night, it becomes an intimate supper spot. The menu offers only seafood and vegetarian dishes, prepared creatively and expertly. The fish here is superb, whether you stop by for lunch or dinner. Try the ahi tuna with a coriander crust. Vegetarians have several tasty options as well, such as the oven-roasted portobello mushroom napoleon. The homemade desserts---many indulgently heavy on the chocolate---fall sweetly into the must-have category. The space is cramped, but that's the only drawback here. Café Dacx has good food, good service and prices that laugh in the faces of its glam-y neighbors.
