THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Ronda Restaurant Review:
Ask the staff what Ronda means and they'll likely explain it as the constant melding of cultures. The menu embodies that sentiment, best described as an Argentine-Spanish fusion with pan-Latin influences. Appetizers take the form of tapas, featuring Argentine-style empanadas with a choice of spicy chicken, chopped meat, or mozzarella and tomato, as well as plato Serrano with roasted asparagus and Spanish Serrano ham in a blue cheese sauce. Main courses range from lighter fare---large Caesar and niçoise salads or burgers---to meal portions like the grilled steaks and filets, paella and quinotto, based on a grain favored by the Incas. The ambience invites warmth through the vivid golds, reds and greens of South and Central America. A full bar creates a comfortable place to wait for a table in this intimate room; a room so intimate that staff sometimes attempt to shoehorn parties into unsuitably sized spaces.
