This twelve-table combination bakery/pastry shop/café is a busy place at lunchtime and on Saturday afternoon. Fresh flowers and white tablecloths make for a charming and pleasant noontime sojourn. The menu features light Continental fare---pasta, salads, Brie and tuna salad croissant sandwiches, delicious potpies, soups and all sorts of seasonal dishes. Tortes, cheesecakes and fruit tarts come by the slice or whole; the most popular are the selmarie torte and the German-style cheesecakes. Everything is made fresh. Fine espresso and cappuccino, too.
