Camélia Restaurant Review:
Located in the Mandarin Oriental, this plush brasserie is presided over by chef Thierry Marx. The restaurant is sided by a tree-filled patio that offers a nice retreat for sunny days. Marx revisits French traditional fare thanks to foreign flavors, original textures and combinations of tastes. Treat yourself with first-rate ingredients cooked with savoir-faire, such as the veal carpaccio in the style of a vitello tonnato, its slices wrapped around Parmesan and accompanied with vinaigrette sauce and grilled brioche; the right-angled poultry filets with boulangere potatoes topped off by a langoustine; and the Tannea, a dessert that consists of ganache and chocolate mousse stuffed with a crispy rice biscuit. Well-stocked cellar with about 200 samples and two dozen wines served by the glass like Givry and Pomerol.
