THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Campo de Fiori Restaurant Review:
Sometimes the best food pops up in the strangest places. Such is the case with Campo de Fiori, a Roman-inspired take-out operation located---of all places---in the graduate dormitory at Boston University. It not only overcomes its tiny kitchen and food court appearance, it warrants return visits. The treasure here is pane romano, a thin and devilishly crunchy flatbread that comes two ways---topped as a pizza or employed as a crackerjack bread for panini. Always impeccable toppings and stuffings range from the predictable (tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto) to the adventuresome (Gorgonzola, pine nuts and raisins).
