Los Angeles's legendary Canter's Deli now has a presence on the Las Vegas Strip, in Treasure Island. Nicknamed Canter's at TI, this cozy Jewish delicatessen features black leatherette chairs and banquettes, handsome stainless-steel tables and super-size sandwiches accompanied by homemade pickles. Served on silver-plated disposable plates are signature dishes such as Gary Canter's Delight---a sandwich packed with pastrami, corned beef, ham, turkey and Swiss cheese and served with your choice of coleslaw, potato salad or chips. We like the famous barley-bean soup and the lox platter with an onion or plain bagel, cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion slices and olives. The Fisherman's Folly---whitefish salad on an onion roll--also comes with all the trimmings. Splurge on the oversize muffins and cookies, or the sublime carrot cake.
