THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Cantina Panaderia Restaurant Review:

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO ISABEL’S CANTINA. Food Girl strikes again! Cantina Panaderia is our favorite Isabel Cruz (a.k.a. Food Girl) restaurant. Breakfast and lunch are hearty, yet healthy. Much like the menus at her Mission Café locations, they are chock full of black beans, brown rice and tofu brought to life by ingredients like zesty salsa, luscious coconut milk and wasabi cream. The real attraction here is dinner. It's hard to appreciate the ambience of the space unless it's dark---candles, antique doors, towering ceilings, flowing drapery and a 12-foot Buddha lend a mystical mood. The dinner menu is more exciting as well (or maybe we are just too familiar with the Mission Café formula). For starters we adore the Asian Grill vegetable plate. Far from boring or uninspired, Cruz plates sweet, teriyaki-style mushrooms, crispy sweet potatoes, crunchy steamed beans and grilled Japanese eggplant with fiery dipping sauces that will make your eyes water. When it comes to lettuce wraps, the steak-chicken combo is the way to go. Tender, soy-glazed meat plus refreshing iceberg lettuce and nutty peanut sauce equals happy taste buds. Entrées range from tofu noodle bowls to skirt steak and desserts often contain tropical ingredients such as coconut and plantains.
