: The Capital Grille’s Dunwoody outpost (there’s also a location in Buckhead) is quite spacious with five private rooms. Its extensive list of snacks and appetizers includes a good New England clam chowder, butternut squash bisque and a hefty lobster roll, while hand-cut Parmesan truffle fries elevate this simple side dish to a new level. We also like the fixed-price lunch menu offering a soup, sandwich and dessert. Dinner, of course, gets more involved, with a range of dry-aged steaks, including a bone-in sirloin rubbed with Kona coffee. A few chicken and seafood dishes are available, too, and vegetarians will have no trouble composing a fine meal of a salad and sides. While we favor a seasonal fruit sorbet after such rich fare, more robust appetites may want to consider the coconut cream pie for dessert. Master sommelier George Miliotes has assembled a wine list that focuses on the familiar rather than on the offbeat or obscure. Also located at 255 E. Paces Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta, 404-262-1162. |
