: The Peabody Memphis, an upscale boutique hotel known for its daily duck marches, is home to this white-tablecloth restaurant. Hardwood floors, restful neutral tones and warm lighting craft the stage for the fare. The signature dish is an eight-ounce filet mignon served with jumbo lump crab, hollandaise sauce and fresh asparagus. Pastas include mushroom ravioli with fresh tomato vodka sauce, and among pizzas is the Jack Daniel’s BBQ pie made with grilled chicken and bacon drenched in a bourbon barbecue sauce. For vegetarians there's a grilled-vegetable quinoa with peas, mushrooms and squash in a carrot broth. Dessert must be one of the Peabody’s signature chocolate milkshakes or the warm Godiva chocolate cake. The wine list is decent, with selections that lean more toward labels from California, although a few from Italy and Australia are present. |
