The centerpiece of this dome-topped round dining room is a column surrounded by comfortable brocade-covered booths and tables set with white linens. The lovely lounge is enhanced by a friendly bar. For starters, we like the osso buco ravioli---veal-stuffed saffron pasta in a rich Gorgonzola cream sauce---and the bacon-wrapped jumbo scallops accompanied by mesclun with a rosemary-balsamic reduction. A house salad precedes all entrées. Linguine with clams and red or white sauce and penne with broccoli and shrimp sautéed in garlic and extra-virgin oil are among our favorite pastas. We like the salmon filet with grilled polenta and cherry tomatoes topped with dill sauce, and the grilled chicken breast in a vodka-mascarpone sauce served with garlic roasted potatoes. The porterhouse and the prime rib with green pea whipped potatoes and the filet mignon topped with a Cognac-peppercorn cream sauce will satisfy carnivores at your table. Among side dishes are garlic-whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus. Signature desserts include a chocolate dome with vanilla ice cream and banana dumplings with raspberry sabayon.
