Cha Cha Moon Restaurant Review:

Alan Yau was the creator of Wagamama and Yauatcha and Hakkasan (which he subsequently sold) so you expect something different from this Hong Kong-born restaurateur. And here again, he’s hit the spot. This time with a noodle restaurant that goes beyond your normal Chinese to take in Singapore, Malaysia, Szechuan and Taiwan. So if you’re an aficionado of shrimp roe lao mian (thin wheat noodles with chicken) and the flat fried noodle used for Singaporean char kway teow, then you could spend hours comparing. You’ll be tempted to do so by the price (£3.50 per dish), though not by the atmosphere. This is a smart, buzzing, young joint. You come here for a good quick meal washed down with the odd glass of wine or one of the more unusual drinks---freshly pressed beetroot, spinach and pear (chan chan tei).
