One thing to say about Chili's: It's a place with few pretensions. Want good, inexpensive food and a casual setting? Then head to Chili's, where crowds pack in for their hefty burgers and fries, old-fashioned milk shakes and margaritas, pita sandwiches and blazing fajitas. Of course, people also come for the chili. Served with or without beans in cups or bowls, this hearty mix may not win chili awards, but if you want something to ward off a winter's chill, then this will set you up just fine. You can also get the chili with chicken breast instead of beef, for a more heart-healthy dish. Desserts include chocolate chip paradise pie with coconut, a brownie sundae and a regular sundae. It's a favorite destination for young professionals and for families: The tab is low and everyone has a good time.
