About the restaurant & décor: Once situated in its own standalone building in Palm Desert, The Chop House was relocated and reimagined inside the popular Jackalope Ranch. Ambience has an elegant ranch-style feel with beamed ceilings, expansive windows overlooking the gardens and landscapes, and large, high-back booths.
Food & Drinks: The menu hasn't changed much, the focus is still on Prime steaks, chops, lobster and fresh fish. The selection of beef is all natural aged, butchered and trimmed in house. Seafood is also fresh, wild and sustainable, and organic produce is used to create salads and sides. Starters include lobster bisque and truffle fries with center-cut offerings, ribs and king crab legs. Cocktails are crafted from fresh herbs and premium liquors and the reasonably priced wine list is a nice complement to the surf and turf fare.
